Knaresborough named among most stylish places to live in Yorkshire Knaresborough has been included in a list of the most stylish places to live in Yorkshire. The market town was named fourth in a list of the top 20 most stylish places in the region, based on research carried out by online store Furniturebox. Richmond came in first place, whilst Aysgarth was second, York was third and Ilkley was fifth. Locations were ranked according to the beauty of the buildings, the stunning scenery and their popularity with artists and as a filming location. A Furniturebox spokesperson said:
“Any of the Yorkshire locations voted by residents would have been worthy winners and show why Yorkshire is such a stylish county, loved by artists, film-makers and tourists from all over the world. “What is interesting is how many of the most stylish locations were not the most affluent places in their locality. “Good style can be achieved whatever your budget and what marks out Yorkshire’s most stylish places is how they all have a timeless quality achieved over generations by the stylish people living there.”Find out more about the UK’s 20 most stylish places in Furniturebox’s guide.
