Highly-anticipated Decathlon store launches in Leeds

Decathlon have launched their highly-anticipated store on Boar Lane in Leeds, with a drive-thru system available from today (Thursday 25th March). Like other non-essential shops, the new store will be open for customers to visit from April 12th in its new location in the centre of Leeds. Decathlon is Europe’s number one sports retailer and provide a range of sport clothing, sport shoes and sport equipment. Decathlon Leeds Manager Dave told Your Harrogate:

"It's taken a long time for Decathlon to get to Leeds - we've been talking about this site for about five or six years but finally we've opened the store and we can say our customers are satisfied. "A lot of the main sports are on our bottom floor here but we do over 70 sports and we've got about 60 of those sports in the Leeds store. "The ones which are available upstairs are cycling, all the team sports - football, rugby, cricket, but we're big on our outdoors sports so hopefully this summer, when people aren't going to be able to go on a holiday, they can go camping, cycling, running or kayaking in your local river."
We sent Your Harrogate presenter Nick Hancock along to the new store to check out what's on offer and catch up with Manager Dave: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KoHUEj5pQo0 Read more local stories from Your Harrogate here.
