Help required for new theatre company

Actor Tony Kirkland has an ambition to set up his own theatre company called "Interact," where he plans high quality productions

Meet Tony Kirkland, a former London-based actor who amongst other productions, can currently be seen in the BAFTA award winning film ‘Rocks’ on Netflix. Tony and his young family moved to Bilton in January 2021 after teaching English and Drama in a secondary school for over 20 years. Tony now has an ambition to set up his own theatre company called "Interact," where he plans to host rehearsals and then performances of low-budget, but high quality productions. [caption id="attachment_15048" align="alignnone" width="1024"] A new theatre company for Harrogate[/caption] Passionate about acting and theatre, Tony is well aware that there is a vibrant arts scene across the borough of Harrogate and hopes to add to it, not dilute in any way. He tells us:

"Predominantly I am looking for actors but also need producers, back stage crew, directors, set designers, costume designers, hair and make up artists, space to rehearse, venues to perform shows in, publicity, social media coordinators, a sound and lighting team too. At the very first embryonic stage as I'm trying to gauge how to get some people on board, hold a meeting, plus get some auditions and rehearsals underway."
Anyone who wants to be part of "Interact" can contact Tony at kirklandanthony@hotmail.com or find him on Instagram @interactharrogate. The plan is to have an initial meeting in September, at a venue yet to be decided, followed by these potential productions: ‘Bouncers’ by John Godber. ‘Trafford Tanzi’ by Claire Luckham. ‘Blue Remembered Hills’ by Dennis Potter. ‘Barbarians’ by Maxim Gorky.
