A group of Harrogate women are set to take on the Nidderdale Walk next weekend in memory of their friend Sheena Blake.
Sheena sadly passed away in November last year after being diagnosed with a stage four glioblastoma at just 38-years-old.
She had used her final months to work tirelessly to fundraise for The Brain Tumour Charity, raising more than £11,000 in just four weeks.
And her friend Suzanne Vokes, alongside a group of others, have vowed to continue Sheena's legacy by taking on the Nidderdale Walk in aid of the Brain Tumour Charity.
Suzanne told Your Harrogate:
“As you know, Sheena was passionate about raising money and awareness for the charity after receiving her devastating diagnosis.
“We want to carry on her legacy and continue to raise money for such a worthy cause in memory of such an inspirational lady!
Suzanne will be completing 26 miles at the event on Sunday 19th May in memory of Sheena, who won the Teacher of the Year Award at the Your Harrogate Local Hero Awards in 2023.
