A popular bus route linking Harrogate with Nidderdale and the Yorkshire Dales is returning this weekend for an extended summer season.
DalesBus services from Harrogate are set to be boosted from this weekend with the return of the Eastern DalesBus 825, offering a longer season of travel through some of North Yorkshire’s most scenic locations.
The service will run every Sunday and Bank Holiday from 5th April until 18th October, providing opportunities for walking and sightseeing across the Nidderdale National Landscape and beyond.
The route begins at Knaresborough Bus Station at 9.52am and Harrogate Bus Station at 10.15am, travelling via Ripley, Brimham Rocks, Fountains Abbey, Galphay, Grewelthorpe and Hackfall, before continuing to Masham, Jervaulx Abbey, Middleham and Leyburn, and finishing in Richmond.
The return journey departs Richmond at 3.10pm.

Passengers will also be able to take advantage of a programme of free guided walks organised by the National Trust and DalesBus Ramblers, all accessible directly from the bus route.
The 825 joins a wider network of DalesBus services operating from Harrogate throughout the year.
These include service 24 to Pateley Bridge in Nidderdale, which runs daily, with onward Sunday and Bank Holiday connections to Coldstones Cut, Hebden and Grassington on the 822 from 5th April, and to Upper Nidderdale on the 821 from 3rd May.
Other weekend services include the 59 to Bolton Bridge and Skipton every Saturday, and the 74 to Ilkley, Bolton Abbey and Grassington, which also runs on Saturdays. From this weekend, the 74 will depart Knaresborough at 8.58am and Harrogate at 9.20am.
As part of a national scheme, bus fares are currently capped at £3 for a single journey. Under-19s can travel for £1 each way on DalesBus services, while concessionary bus passes are also accepted across the network.
