Harrogate will be the most sleep-deprived place in the UK this Christmas, a new study has revealed. Data published by Beds Divans has reviewed where in the UK people struggle to sleep the most at Christmas. The data analysed the forecasted search trends of sleep-related terms over the course of December, showing that Harrogate is likely to be the most sleep-deprived place in the UK over the festive period. The study is inspired by recent data stating that a third of Brits feel tired at Christmas, with 41% feeling sluggish and a further 33% left feeling generally exhausted. As well as this, the search term 'melatonin gummies' has seen a 32% search volume increase since the start of December. Using population data from the Office of National Statistics (ONS) and search information from Google’s Keyword Planner tool, the sleep experts calculated the average number of monthly searches per capita for searches related to poor sleep: [caption id="attachment_21435" align="aligncenter" width="1244"] The top 10 most sleep-deprived places in the UK this Christmas.[/caption] Harrogate is expected to have an average of over 100 searches (105) related to poor sleep this December with an average of 0.73 noise complaints per capita.
