Harrogate district's Covid infection rate falls below North Yorkshire average

The coronavirus infection rate in the Harrogate district has now fallen below the North Yorkshire average.

The coronavirus infection rate in the Harrogate district has now fallen below the North Yorkshire average. The rolling seven-day average for Harrogate now stands at 42.9 cases per 100 thousand people, less than the 45.5 figure for North Yorkshire as a whole. It’s also below the England average of 58.3. The national lockdown and the rollout of the vaccines have brought Harrogate's Covid infection down sharply over the last few weeks. In early January it was over ten times what it is now, reaching a peak of almost 500 cases per 100,000 people. Read more local stories from Your Harrogate here
