A Harrogate charity's shop is set to appear on an upcoming episode of 'Shift the Thrift'.
The series, hosted by Joanna Page, will launch today (Monday) at 2pm and focuses on giving pre-loved items a 'new lease of life' while celebrating the growing popularity of charity retail.
The show explores Britain’s booming charity shop culture and taps into the increasing trend of second-hand shopping and online reselling.
In each episode, two contestants compete in a timed challenge to transform their charity shop finds into the highest profit, sourcing hidden treasures, creatively upcycling them and selling them through live-streamed auctions.
And St Michael's Hospice, which is based on Hornbeam Park, has teased its involvement.
A spokesperson for St Michael's Hospice said:
"Tune in to see our amazing team in action, spot some fabulous finds, and get a little behind-the-scenes look at how your support makes a real difference. Make sure you don’t miss it… we’ll be watching!"
Each instalment of the BBC show is set in a different UK town.
