The Great Knaresborough Bunny Hunt is set to return for its sixth year next week, tasking families to find ceramic bunnies hidden around the town.

Great Knaresborough Bunny Hunt returns for sixth year next week The ever-popular Great Knaresborough Bunny Hunt returns next week, tasking families with finding ceramic bunnies hidden around the town. The event, now in its sixth year, sees participants follow a map to hunt 16 ceramic bunnies placed in the shop windows of participating businesses. The bunnies are hand-painted with various designs, patterns and characters by organiser Laura Dudley, who owns Painting Pots. https://www.facebook.com/TheGreatKnaresboroughBunnyHunt/posts/pfbid04mKjyEVoXhzQAqzF9cqBX5G1Mjb7BZDfdNM76RVC7NpmuWDzaCRLMRjiWcYXxwbKl The Great Knaresborough Bunny Hunt aims to raise money for local charities and has raised more than £6,000 to date. This year the event will be supporting New Beginnings, Lauren Doherty’s Road Safety Talks and The Memory Cafe. It will start on Saturday 1st April and run until Sunday 16th. Organiser Laura Dudley said:

“I think I created a bit of a monster in the first year and every year there’s pressure to raise more money for the charities! “This year the twist is that there are eight local artists who are all incredibly talented who have all painted a bunny, and there will be a little bit of information about them on the way. “I cannot wait to see people wandering around Knaresborough, discovering new businesses and new shops, holding those maps and pens in their hands and the screech when they find a new bunny!”
Participants are able to purchase a map for £3 from Painting Pots on Castlegate, the Oldest Chemist Shoppe in the market square or PJ Ices Waterside. By completing and returning the form, the participant will receive a ‘sweet treat’ and a sticker, whilst going into a prize draw to win a £50 voucher to be spent in Painting Pots. There will also be The Great Knaresborough Bunny Hunt Parade taking place during the Knaresborough Spring Fayre on 8th April. Find out more about the Great Knaresborough Bunny Hunt here.
