Eden Camp Modern History Museum has announced that they are the winners of the 'Best Educational Day Out 2021' award from the SME Northern Enterprise Awards.
Each year, various businesses are selected to take part in the award aimed at celebrating various businesses in the North of England.
Following nominations, the awards team go on to shortlist the businesses that they feel are the most innovative.
Some of the criteria for winners include business growth, innovation, client dedication, longevity, online reputation, business performance and customer feedback.
In what has been a challenging year for the tourism and heritage sector, Eden Camp is "especially excited and proud" to receive the award.
Eden Camp Modern History Museum’s Financial Director, Howard Johnson said:"We are immensely proud of the efforts put in by the Museum’s team of staff and volunteers who put every effort into making an unforgettable experience for our visitors from start to finish. Eden Camp Modern History Museum is a privately owned, educational museum established on an original WW2 prisoner of war camp.
It offers a widely varied and unique collection of military paraphernalia, vehicles, and social history both donated and on loan from members of the public.
