Covid infection rate in Harrogate falls to lowest level in six months

The latest figures released by North Yorkshire County Council show that the Covid infection rate in the Harrogate district has now fallen to it's lowest level in six months.

The latest figures released by North Yorkshire County Council show that the Covid infection rate in the Harrogate district has now fallen to it's lowest level in six months. The 'seven-day' rate now stands at 59 infections per 100,000 people. A combination of the national lockdown and the rollout of the coronavirus vaccines have meant the rate in the Harrogate district has been steadily falling for the past couple of months. It reached a peak of almost 500 infections per 100,000 people in early January. The last time it was as low as it is now was back in September last year.
