Campaign to save Knaresborough's Fysche Field

Some Knaresborough residents have begun a campaign to protect Fysche Field in the town from being concreted over when the new leisure centre is built.

Some Knaresborough residents have begun a campaign to protect Fysche Field in the town from being concreted over when the new leisure centre is built. They’re concerned the green space may be lost as part of the development. The group describe Fysche Field as an 'exceptionally well used and historic piece of urban green space', which is an 'important central asset and breathing space for the town'. A website and Facebook group have been set up to allow people to show their support for keeping the field as it is when the work takes place. The Facebook group currently has almost 100 members.
