Birstwith Village Show 2021 to go ahead in July

Organisers of the annual Birstwith Village Show have announced that the event will be able to go ahead as planned this year.

Organisers of the Birstwith Show have announced that the event will be able to go ahead this year. The annual show was cancelled last year due to safety concerns around Covid-19, but the show will be making a return on 31st July. The Birstwith Show Chairman revealed that the committee had been preparing for good news regarding their ability to bring the show back for 2021. The Chairman's announcement, made via Facebook, said:

"The committee have been quietly planning in the background via zoom meetings in preparation. In the next few days the Entry Schedule will be released on the website, Facebook and through distribution where allowed. The categories will be the same as last year’s schedule.
"I think I can say on behalf of everyone that we need something positive to look forward to and I would like to take this opportunity to ask everyone in the village to get involved and (if we can) make this the BEST SHOW EVER!"
The annual Birstwith Show was first held in 1867 and is one of the leading agricultural shows in the Harrogate district. https://www.facebook.com/BirstwithAnnualVillageShow/posts/1851034861730036 Read more local stories from Your Harrogate here.
