North Yorkshire Police has launched an appeal following a spate of graffiti around the Knaresborough area.
Vandals have targeted buildings and tourist hotspots across the town, including the entrance to Knaresborough Castle and the Market Place.
The Graffiti is written in black paint and reads '2 B Seen.'
Other locations of graffiti include Kirkgate, Thomas the Baker (Market Place), Chapel Street, Waterside, Nidderdale Drive and Farndale Road.
Police believe the incidents occurred between 1am and 2am yesterday (Wednesday).
A police spokesperson said:
