With fancy restaurant dates officially off the cards this year, we will all be opting for a cosy night in this Valentines whether we like it or not.

Luckily, the UK supermarkets have pulled it out the bag and are providing us with restaurant quality menus that won’t break the bank.

Whether you’re celebrating with your family at home or your lockdown lover, these deals will give you all a night off cooking and are guaranteed to spread the love.

Best Value

Morrisons: The Best Dine in Meal for Two, £15

This bundle has something to please everyone. For meat eaters, highlights include mussels in a rich chorizo broth and a luxury beef wellington.

There’s a tear and share camembert for the veggies and even individual vegan salted caramel puddings with glittery chocolate sauce on offer.

To top it all off, Morrisons have thrown in a bottle of their brand new rosé prosecco!

The Romantic one

M&S: Valentine's Dine in, £20

In case you’d forgotten that it’s Valentine’s Day, don’t worry, M&S simply won’t let you forget it. From the ‘Love Linquine’ to it’s vegan friendly ‘Peppercorn Love Pie’, if you’re not feeling especially loved up then this meal is sure to change that.

This bundle comes with a box of chocolates as well as a bottle of wine or prosecco, which is why it is a tad pricier but the quality definitely makes up for it.

If you’re a foodie, Waitrose is the place to go for some reasonably priced posh nosh.

Asda: Valentine's Meal Deal, £15

If you’re busy on the 14th then do not worry, Asda is treating us and making their meal deal available throughout most of February so that we can spread the love for even longer.

Because after all, shouldn’t we celebrate our love for each other every day?

With this incredibly low price point, you could enjoy this meal every weekend of February if your heart desired.

The best budget plant-based meal deal

Sainsbury's: Valentine's menu for two, £10

If you’re not bothered about starters and sides, the Sainsbury’s plant-based main, dessert and bottle of fizz is only £10. Including a nut roast and a luxurious chocolate dessert.

For the meat eaters, their taste the difference range offers a delicious creamy scallop gratin followed by a sirloin steak which will come in at under £20.

This bundle is sure to please everyone with both the menu and it’s fantastic price point.
