3 Harrogate roadworks likely to hold you up this week

To help you stay ahead of the traffic, here's three major Harrogate roads that are set to see disruption in the coming days...

Some major roadworks are now underway in Harrogate (you may have noticed Skipton Road has been a carpark!) and are causing delays around the area. To help you stay ahead of the traffic, here's three major Harrogate roads that are set to see disruption in the coming days... Bower Road You may have noticed Harrogate's Bower Road now has temporary traffic lights in place, just outside Asda. North Yorkshire County Council have installed the lights to allow for 'excavation and installation of underground fibre ducts and cables' on the road. The roadworks came into place on Thursday 8th October and will be in place until Wednesday 14th October. Kings Road You've got a few days of using Kings Road as normal before these roadworks come into place. There will be temporary traffic lights on Kings Road from Sunday 18th until Thursday 22nd October. Again these are in place to allow for underground fibre ducts and cables to be installed, so shouldn't be around for too long. Harlow Moor Road Harlow Moor Road is another route into Harrogate that is expecting delays in the coming days, as Northern Gas Networks are carrying out essential work to replace gas mains in the road. These roadworks are expected from Monday 12th until Friday 30th October, and will include traffic control by two way signals. So keep an eye out and plan your route in advance to avoid delays!
