1,500 covid vaccinations were administered in one day over the weekend - and Harrogate's booster programme heroes aren't stopping there. The high number of jabs were given at Harrogate's Yorkshire Event Centre on Saturday (18th December) as people look to get their booster before Christmas. And volunteers, including those from Knaresborough Rotary, have revealed their aim of reaching 20,000 jabs by Christmas Eve. https://twitter.com/Kn_Rotary/status/1472636298137673729?s=20 Walk-in vaccinations Walk-in covid vaccinations are being offered at the Great Yorkshire Showground up until 24th December. Sessions are running from 9am to 4pm until 23rd December, and then from 9am to 11:30am on Christmas Eve. Those receiving booster jabs need to have waited at least three months since their second vaccine dose. Although no appointment is necessary, all visitors must be free of covid symptoms. North Yorkshire's Clinical Commissioning Group have said it would be "useful" if you have your NHS number with you, but it's not essential. Read more local stories from Your Harrogate here.
