A Rare Treat...
If this is your first Albee play, you're in for a treat: Intense storytelling, wickedly funny dialogue, and a rug-out-from-under you' climax that weill leave you breathless. Presented by The Classic Theatre Project of Yorkshire.
Edward Albee's 'The Zoo Story', is a one -act, sixty minute, two character absurdist comedy/tragedy. Premiering in 1959, it is just ats timely today, as it shows the confrontation between the lonely outcasts of society and the dehumanised and unconscious middle class.
Set on a park bench in Centra Park, it's the story of Jerry, a young man alientated from the human race, and Peter, a middle class corporate player who is secure in his 'zoo'.
