Classic Car Show

Knaresborough’s historic Parish Church, dedicated to St John the Baptist, celebrates its Patronal Festival this weekend with a day of special services and events on Sunday 23rd June.

The day begins with a ‘Songs of Praise service at 10.30am, featuring favourite hymns chosen by members of the congregation.

From 12 noon there will be a Classic Car Show in the church grounds, with a variety of classic and vintage vehicles to view.

Local choir Cadenza will perform a short concert in the church at 1pm and there will be refreshments available in the HUB, which boasts splendid views over the river from the terrace.

There is no charge to view the cars or attend the concert, but all contributions will be gratefully received.

The grand finale of the celebrations will be a special service of Choral Evensong sung by St John’s Choir at 4pm, as they prepare for their weekend singing the services in Westminster Abbey and St George’s Chapel, Windsor at the beginning of August.
