An evening exploring neurodivergence and brain health is being held near Ripon next month.

‘Our Beautiful Brains: Exploring Neurodivergence and Unlocking Potential’ will take place at Tanfield House in West Tanfield on Thursday 1st October, from 6pm to 9pm.

Organised by FLOW Yorkshire co-founders Neil and Allanah Bourne-Arton, the event will bring together three speakers to discuss neuroscience, nutrition and influences on brain health.

The panel includes Professor Amanda Ellison, a physiologist and Professor of Neuroscience at Durham University, alongside nutritional therapists and authors Lucinda Miller and Kate Chaytor-Norris.

The evening is aimed at parents, educators, business leaders and professionals from across Yorkshire and the North East.

Discussions will explore how the modern world affects the brain and nervous system, and what this means for individuals, families, classrooms and workplaces.

The event will also raise funds for the FLOW Foundation, established to help widen access to FLOW Yorkshire’s services for people whose circumstances might otherwise prevent them from receiving support.

Neil and Allanah said:

“Behind every diagnosis, statistic or struggle is a person - and a mind with great potential.”

Tickets cost £25, with places limited to 50. The evening is described as invitation-only. Anyone interested in attending can contact FLOW Yorkshire on 01677 930558 to enquire.
