Harrogate Homeless Project has announced a new yearlong charity partnership with Swinton Estate, aimed at raising funds and awareness to support people experiencing homelessness across the Harrogate District.
The collaboration will focus on generating financial support for frontline services provided by Harrogate Homeless Project (HHP), which offers accommodation and assistance to individuals working towards independent living.
Felicity Cunliffe-Lister, Proprietor and Countess of Swinton, said:
“The Harrogate Homeless Project provides vital, compassionate support to some of the most vulnerable people in our community, delivering much-needed immediate services while working tirelessly towards sustainable, long-term housing solutions.
"Swinton Estate is incredibly proud to support Harrogate Homeless Project as our chosen charity this year; it is a truly worthwhile cause making a meaningful and lasting difference in the lives of so many.”
The partnership will begin with the launch of the Swinton Spring Spectacular Raffle, an online prize draw featuring three experiences donated by Swinton Estate.
Tickets are priced at £5, with proceeds supporting HHP’s services, including emergency accommodation and support for individuals facing homelessness.
Organisers state that purchasing multiple tickets increases chances of winning while also contributing more significantly to the charity’s work.
Prizes include an overnight stay and dinner for two at Swinton Park, a half-day cookery school experience, and a weekday spa escape at Swinton Country Club. The raffle closes on 20 June 2026, with the draw scheduled for 26 June 2026. Entry is limited to individuals aged 18 and over.
As part of the initiative, a promotional campaign will feature “Winston Swinton,” described as an honorary employee joining HHP for the duration of the partnership. Merchandise linked to the campaign will be sold at Swinton Estate, with proceeds directed to HHP.
“When offered this job, I accepted straight away, I didn’t paws for a second! Please follow my journey throughout the year on HHP and Swinton Estate social channels”
Winston began the role on 1 April 2026 and is expected to take part in awareness and fundraising activities throughout the year.
Additional fundraising efforts are planned, including events such as wild swimming activities, participation in the charity’s Big Sleepout, and seasonal celebrations. A partnership event is also scheduled for March 2027.
Nicola Ridgway, Fundraising and Marketing Manager at HHP, said:
“We are incredibly grateful to Swinton Estate for choosing HHP as their charity partner. Their generosity will make a real, lasting difference to people facing homelessness in our community.”
Harrogate Homeless Project provides accommodation and support services, including access to mental and physical health support, counselling, and a day centre offering food and assistance.
