Free family fun day in Harrogate celebrates recovery

North Yorkshire Connected Spaces is inviting people to Dene Park Community Centre.

A free family fun day is being held in Harrogate today (Friday) to celebrate recovery, bring families together and help reduce the stigma surrounding substance misuse.

North Yorkshire Connected Spaces is inviting people to Dene Park Community Centre between 12pm and 3:30pm for an afternoon of free activities, entertainment and community spirit.

There will be sports and games, face painting, music, food and treats, a bouncy castle and plenty more for families to enjoy.

The event is open to everyone and aims to provide a welcoming space where people can come together, have fun and learn more about recovery in a positive and supportive environment.

North Yorkshire Connected Spaces is a lived experience recovery organisation that supports adults affected by substance misuse across the county.

The organisation hopes the event will encourage conversations around recovery while helping to reduce stigma in the community.
