The best jam makers from across the world are being invited to Newby Hall in Ripon for the annual World Jam Festival.
The annual festival and awards are set to be held in the Grantham Rooms at Newby for the first time on Sunday 28th September.
The event celebrates jam-making as an art form, featuring jam makers from around the world who submit their entries for a chance to win awards.
It also includes other family-friendly events including apple pressing demonstrations and music performances.
This year, it will run in conjunction with Newby’s Apple Day and the hotly contested Apple Throwing Championships.
There will also be Cider tasting, a display of the many apple varieties grown in Newby Hall’s orchards and more.
A spokesperson for the event said:
“We are delighted to announce that the 2025 World Jam Festival & Awards is to be held in the Grantham Rooms at Newby Hall on Sunday 28th September.
“We must give special thanks to Mr and Mrs Richard Compton for making this happen.”
