The winners of this year's Harrogate in Bloom awards were revealed at a special awards ceremony on Wednesday (8th October).
The awards recognise the various floral contributions across Harrogate from schools, community grounds, residential communities, retail and hospitality venues and allotments, along with some special Harrogate in Bloom discretionary awards.
The Hammand Mann trophy for the schools competition was awarded to Rossett Acre Primary School, the award highlights gardens created by pupils and teachers at various schools across the town.
The Christopher Dean Cup for the children’s art competition was awarded to Poppy Garbutt from Willow Tree Primary School.
This year the children’s art competition encouraged youngsters to design a flowerbed to celebrate 250 years of United States of America.
The prize for the floral window competition, organised in conjunction with Harrogate BID saw entries from FatFace, Oxfam, Piglet in Bed and Helen James.
The McCrindle trophy was awarded to Helen James.

“It was great to see the success of the annual Harrogate in Bloom awards.
“The dedication and passion of all different groups and organisations that entered the competition is unmatched and truly adds to the floral success of our town.
“As the BID, we are always keen to promote our town as a floral destination, and seeing businesses continuing to get involved is just great to see.”
“I’d like to congratulate everyone that claimed prizes in the awards, each and every one was so very well deserved.”
The Crowther trophy, awarded to the hotel or guesthouse with the best-judged floral display, was handed to White Hart Hotel.
Meanwhile, the Harrogate in Bloom Shield for the best communal grounds, was awarded to Raworths Solicitors.
A number of different pubs and restaurants entered to claim the Parks Department Rose Shield, with The Pickled Sprout taking home the award.
The Bettys Teapot, awarded to the best residential community was claimed by Swan Court, while the Pine Street Allotments took home the Edgar Scholey Shield.
Peter Walker of Pine Street Allotments also took home the Harrogate Borough Council Trophy for the Best Allotment Slot.
The Hampden House trophy was awarded to The Manor House, for best care home in the area.
Towards the end of the ceremony, a few Harrogate in Bloom discretionary awards were handed to extremely well deserving individuals and organisations.
The Chamber of Trade & Commerce trophy was awarded to Piglet in Bed on James Street for their superb window displays all year round.
The Mayors Trophy, presented by Councillor Chris Aldred was proudly presented to Pam Grant, President of Harrogate in Bloom for all her dedication and hard work to not only the group but to the town itself.
Finally, Nick Smith, Director of Harrogate Flower Shows was awarded the Harrogate in Bloom Presidents Award.
