Harrogate residents are keeping an eye on the weather this week as colder conditions move in - but the chances of heavy snow now look low.
The latest forecasts suggest there could be a few light snow showers or some sleet on Thursday and Friday (8th and 9th January).
Any snow is expected to be brief and patchy, with little chance of it settling in most places.
Last week, weather forecasts had suggested the area could see more widespread snow.
However, those predictions have since been scaled back, with milder air expected to limit how wintry it becomes.
A yellow weather warning from the Met Office is in place until 11am today (Tuesday).
The warning is mainly for icy patches and the risk of a few wintry showers, particularly during the early morning.
Road users are being advised to take care, especially on untreated roads and pavements.
