The Your Harrogate Local Hero Awards are set to return this evening for our biggest night of the year.
We’ve teamed up with Harrogate Town and headline sponsors, O’Connor Chiropractic, to bring the event back to Rudding Park and celebrate extraordinary people in our area.
We’re delighted that a number of famous and well-known faces will join us to shine a light on the dedicated and selfless people in our area.
These include a number of representatives from Emmerdale, including Chris Chittell (Eric Pollard) and Roxy Shahidi (Leyla Harding).

We’ll also welcome former ITV Calendar presenters Duncan Wood and Christine Talbot, actor Matthew Wolfenden (Hollyoaks) and farming YouTuber Joe Seels.
A number of local dignitaries will also be in attendance, including Clare Granger - the Deputy Lord Lieutenant of North Yorkshire, the new Mayor of Harrogate Cllr Viv Poskitt and local MP Tom Gordon.
Chief Constable Tim Forber of North Yorkshire Police is also one of our finalists in the Emergency Services category.
Your Harrogate Managing Director Adam Daniel said:
“At Your Harrogate, we’re incredibly proud to have a platform that allows us to shine a light on the remarkable people who make this district so special.
“Every day, we hear stories of kindness, resilience and community spirit - and this event is about bringing those stories to life.”
Winners across 14 categories will be revealed tonight - but all of our finalists are special in their own way and deserve recognition.
Keep an eye on our social media channels as we kick off the Local Hero Awards 2026 from 7:30pm this evening.
