The much-loved local attraction is celebrating after being named a finalist in the People’s Choice category.
The award is presented by the Yorkshire and Humberside Family Business Awards.
Stump Cross Caverns, based in Nidderdale, is one of the region’s oldest tourist spots.
The ancient limestone caves are believed to be hundreds of thousands of years old and are known for their impressive rock formations, underground chambers and fossil finds.
The site also features a visitor centre, café, cinema-style experience space and gem-cracking activities for families.
The team said via Facebook:
“It’s a huge honour for a small family business.
“This recognition means the world to us.”
They’re now calling on supporters to help them secure the award.
“If you’ve explored the caverns, cracked a geode, or enjoyed a cuppa with us, your vote would mean so much,”.
Voting is now open, and the voting closes 17th November.
The Yorkshire and Humberside Family Business Awards will take place 21st November at the Royal Armouries Hall in Leeds.
