A teacher at Rossett Acre Primary School has received a special end of term treat, thanks to Harrogate BID.
Miss Eilidh MacGillivray, the school's year 2 teacher, was surprised by Your Harrogate's Nick Hancock as one of five winners of our 'Treat your Teacher' competition.
We asked parents, guardians and pupils to nominate the teacher or teaching assistant they believe deserves a special 'thank you' for their efforts his academic year.
And Miss MacGillivray is the first to receive a £50 Harrogate BID Gift Card, which can be spent at over 100 shops around Harrogate town centre.
Shocked by the surprise, she told Nick Hancock:
"I just love working with the children. The class I have are absolutely incredible and they inspire me every day.
"They're the best thing about the job - it's why you become a teacher!"
