New roadworks are now underway on Ripon Road and set to cause yet more disruption for motorists.
The works are in place near The Harrogate Inn on the A61, with three-way temporary lights replacing the usual traffic lights at the junction of Crescent Road and Parliament Street.
Northern Gas Networks is expecting works to continue until 31st July.
As a result, the part of Montpellier Road that connects to Ripon Road is closed.
