Baffled Ripon residents have poked fun at a washing machine left in the city centre.
The washing machine appeared next to Ripon’s Obelisk in the city’s Market Place this morning (Tuesday).
The appliance has since been removed - but not before a photo was posted anonymously on Facebook group ‘Blow Your Horn Ripon’.
And Ripon residents have poked fun at the odd occurrence.
One user wrote:
“You can't dump that Indesity!”
Another added:
“Bet it was a clean getaway.”
A third said:
“Seems a hot point of discussion.”
Another mused:
“I’m wondering if this is where people go to ‘air their dirty laundry?’”
