Ripon Racecourse has been named among the best racecourses in the UK.
Experts at OLBG and OLBG Racing have compiled the ultimate guide to 2025’s UK’s best racecourses ahead of the upcoming Cheltenham Festival, looking at the best venues in the country.
Rankings are based on ticket prices, transport accessibility, review scores, social media followings, article sentiment, search data, and the number of race days throughout the year.
And Ripon Racecourse, also known as Yorkshire’s Garden Racecourse, has ranked in 12th place.

The venue received more than 170,000 Google searches in 2024 and has a Trip Advisor rating of 4.5 out of 5.
It has 16 racedays throughout the year, with the cheapest adult ticket priced at just £7.
Ascot, Beverley, Musselburgh and York made up the top four racecourses.
Steve Madgwick, Editor-In-Chief at OLBG, said:
“The study highlights the best racecourses to attend in terms of ticket prices, the number of race days, transport accessibility, review scores, and the added impact that social media presence is holding for UK venues.
“Topping the list of the best UK racecourses to visit is Ascot, registering a ‘racecourse score’ of 7.97/10.
"It’s a venue popular with royalty, yet it’s a favourite of all with high review scores, and a massive following across social media platforms such as Instagram and X.”
He added:
“Cheltenham takes centre stage this spring and ranks 5th in OLBG’s ultimate guide.
"The Cheltenham festival provides attendees with the perfect opportunity to snap photos in their finest outfits, and it perhaps comes as no surprise to many that the racecourse ranks as the most Instagrammable racing venue in the UK, with over 99,700 posts under the hashtag #cheltenhamraces.”
