Popular toys and gaming festival to return this weekend

The Odyssey Gaming Festival is heading back to The Crown Hotel.

A popular gaming and toy festival is all set to return to Harrogate this weekend.

The Crown Hotel will once again be transformed into a hub for gamers and collectors as the Odyssey Video Games and Toy Festival officially opens its doors on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th April.

The festival focuses on a hand-picked selection of experiences designed to engage both the seasoned collector and the curious newcomer.

Visitors can revisit the classics with a variety of playable consoles from the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s.

And they’ll be able to browse a specialised selection of stalls featuring vintage action figures, rare toys, and modern memorabilia.

Beyond the retro classics, attendees can get hands-on with more recent titles, bridging the gap between the golden age of gaming and today’s hits.

Odyssey is supported by local independent businesses such as Phase 4 Computers, Toyland, Harrogate Town AFC., The Geek Retreat, Arcade Kid as well as charity Andy’s Man Club.

A spokesperson said:

“With the school holidays in full swing across Yorkshire, Odyssey provides an accessible, indoor activity right in the centre of Harrogate.

“Its central location at the Crown Hotel makes it an easy addition to a family day out in town.”
