Pick-your-own-flower attraction to open near Harrogate this weekend

The Flower Belt is opening on Thwaites Lane near Harrogate.

A brand-new pick-your-own flower attraction is set to open near Harrogate this weekend.

The Flower Belt, located on Thwaites Lane, will officially welcome visitors from Saturday (18th July), marking the start of its first wildflower season in Harrogate.

The family-run business allows visitors to wander through colourful flower fields and pick their own blooms, paying only for the flowers they take home.

Ahead of the public opening, The Flower Belt is hosting a launch party on Friday evening to celebrate the new site, with guests invited to enjoy flowers, fizz and handmade pizzas.

The Harrogate site is the second location for the business, which is run by the Wainwright family, who have been farming in North Yorkshire since 1962.

Alongside the flower fields is The Honey Tap café, serving coffee, cakes, drinks and pizzas.

As well as pick-your-own flowers, the venue says it plans to host a range of seasonal events throughout the year, including live music, yoga sessions, sound baths and family activities.

There is no admission charge to visit The Flower Belt, with visitors paying only for the flowers they pick.

The new attraction is located on Thwaites Lane, just outside Harrogate, and opens to the public on Saturday 18th July.
