A new café promising a fully gluten-free menu is set to open in Harrogate next week.
Café Otto, which is located on Oxford Street in the former JoJo Maman Bébé unit, will officially open its doors on Wednesday 20th May.
The venue is being described by its owners as Harrogate’s first “totally gluten free” café bar.
Renovation work has been taking place at the site in recent weeks ahead of the launch.
The business is being led by Jonathan Skinner and his fiancée Sara Ferguson, who both have extensive experience in the hospitality industry.
Sara has worked in hospitality in Harrogate for almost 30 years and is said to be the driving force behind the gluten-free concept.
She is gluten intolerant and also has close family members with coeliac disease, which helped inspire the business idea.
Jonathan also brings nearly three decades of experience, primarily in catering equipment supply and commercial kitchen design.
The owners have been sharing updates on the renovation through the café’s Instagram account, @theottocafe.
Further details about the café’s menu and offering are expected to be announced soon.
