A Ripon primary school has been praised by Ofsted after inspectors said pupils "thrive academically and socially."
Outwood Primary Academy Greystone received a 'strong standard' grading across all areas inspected following a two-day Ofsted visit on 23 and 24 June.
Inspectors described the school as "a place where pupils feel safe and valued," adding that it is a "friendly and supportive school" where children flourish both academically and socially.
The report found that pupils, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and disadvantaged children, make strong progress from their individual starting points.
Inspectors also praised behaviour across the school, describing classrooms as "an oasis of calm" where pupils are focused and engaged in their learning.
The report said pupils leave the school well prepared for secondary education, with secure knowledge and skills in reading, writing and mathematics.

Among the other highlights, Ofsted found that pupils with SEND receive the support they need to make rapid progress, attendance is consistently above the national average and warm relationships between staff and pupils help children feel they belong.
Inspectors also noted that staff morale is high, parents speak positively about the school and pupils develop a strong understanding of diversity and the wider world.
