A Harrogate sewing shop is inviting shoppers to take a look at its new-look store following a major renovation.
White Rose Sewing & Craft Centre on Commercial Street is holding an open day today (Wednesday) to celebrate its relaunch under new ownership.
The independent shop, which has been a feature of Harrogate for almost 50 years, recently underwent a change of ownership and refurbishment.
The new team, which includes experienced sewing machine engineer Mark Wilson as a director, has plans to develop the store into a national hub for machine servicing and repairs while continuing to stock a wide range of crafting supplies.

The open day is taking place from 10am to 6.30pm, with visitors invited to browse an expanded range of products, including Brother and Juki sewing machines, Gütermann and Madeira threads, DMC embroidery silks, King Cole and Stylecraft yarns, and Prym accessories.
Customers will also be able to meet the new staff, see demonstrations and explore the updated store.
A spokesperson said:
“Pop in and come and meet the new team and see our newly refurbished sewing and crafting emporium!
“We really are a friendly bunch and happy to provide local stitching and crafting supplies to our brilliantly talented community!
“Demo our machines, speak to our service engineer, browse our new stock and help us toast keeping an indie sewing shop on your doorstep.”
