Knaresborough's Banking Hub has welcomed new operators, with the team behind the service hoping to raise awareness of the support it offers to local residents and businesses.
Andrew Hart and his business partner Asma Ola took over the running of the Banking Hub on Kirkgate earlier this month.
The pair also operate Post Office branches and say they are keen to listen to customers and shape the service around the community's needs.
Located at 15 Kirkgate, just off the Market Square, the Banking Hub provides face-to-face banking services for customers of all major banks and building societies.
Visitors can pay in cash and cheques, withdraw money and carry out everyday banking transactions, while community bankers from different banks are available on set weekdays to help with more complex enquiries.
Harrogate and Knaresborough MP Tom Gordon recently visited the hub to meet the new operators.
Andrew Hart said:
"The Banking Hub is a true asset to the beautiful and busy town of Knaresborough, but we need to make sure the whole community knows that it exists and what it offers.
"Asma and I are looking forward to talking with and listening to all our existing and new customers so we can shape the Hub's services to best meet their needs.
"It was a pleasure to welcome Tom and show him what the hub offers."
Tom Gordon MP added:
"The Banking Hub is a lifeline for Knaresborough. As bank branches have disappeared from our high streets, hubs like this one keep essential face-to-face banking within reach for older residents, small businesses, and anyone who relies on cash.
"It was great to meet Andrew and hear his and Asma's plans for the hub.
"Their focus on listening to customers and shaping services around what local people actually need is exactly the right approach."
The Knaresborough Banking Hub is open Monday to Friday from 9am until 5pm at 15 Kirkgate, Bowling Green Yard.
