The Lionesses will lineup against the tournament’s host nation on BBC1 at 11am. And the winner will play Spain in the World Cup final on Sunday. The Lionesses have reached the semi final stage in each of the last two World Cups. But today’s opponents will be backed by the home crowd in the 81,000-seated Stadium Australia in Sydney. Daly, who played for Killinghall Nomads as a youth, has appeared played every minute of England’s last four World Cup matches. She scored her first ever World Cup goal against China in a 6-1 win in the group stages before converting her penalty in England’s last 16 shootout victory over Nigeria.
