Brian Dunsby OBE, the driving force behind Harrogate's former Christmas market, has sadly passed away at the age of 84.
Brian was a well-known figure in the Harrogate community.
Alongside his wife Beryl, Brian worked to organise the town’s Christmas Market when it was held on Montpellier Hill.
He also helped create and organise the Yorkshire Business Market with partner Mark Lancaster, which saw 1,000 businesses and managers attend to showcase their unique products and services.
Brian retired in 2018, a year after he was made an OBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List for services to the community.
He was also the former Chief Executive of Harrogate Chamber of Trade and Commerce.
