Local magician Tim Lichfield has again been named "Best Magician" for weddings in Yorkshire & North East at The Wedding Industry Awards.
Magician who performs at Harrogate weddings named best in Yorkshire A local magician and entertainer who performs at Harrogate weddings has been named “Wedding Magician Of The Year.” Tim Lichfield has won the award for a second consecutive year at The Wedding Industry Awards 2024. The Wedding Industry Awards celebrates the wedding industry across the UK, with all regions across the country competing for the coveted titles. Tim, who is from Northallerton, won the Regional Award in November, qualifying him as a national nominee against eight other regions across the country. He was announced as the winner of “Wedding Magician of The Year” for Yorkshire & the North East for a third time. He said:
“After winning the Regional Awards in 2021, 2023 and 2024, it was an absolute honour to win the National Award for a second time. "To go against eight other regions in the same category is pretty nerve-racking and after bringing home the National Award last year, I didn’t think it would happen again. "Maybe next year will be a hat-trick?”Tim first became interested in magic at the age of 7 after receiving a Paul Daniels magic book - and hasn’t stopped since. After a long career in radio, Tim Lichfield decided to make magic his profession almost 10 years ago and has watched his business grow. He said:
“Magic is my passion. When I entertain at weddings and events, it makes all the hard practice, time and effort worthwhile when I see the look on peoples’ faces! "Winning this award truly means a lot and gives me the determination to work harder.”The National Awards were held at The Underglobe in London on Wednesday evening (24th January 2024).
