Luxury Ripon hotel shortlisted for best hotel in UK A luxury hotel near Ripon has been shortlisted for an award that will name the best hotel in the UK. Grantley Hall has been named among the finalists in the 'Best UK Hotel' category by the Times and Sunday Times Travel Awards. The awards, which are now in their tenth year, aim to recognise the best destinations, airlines, cruise lines, hotels and travel companies. The shortlists for the individual categories were compiled based on feedback from readers and input from travel writers and editors for The Times and The Sunday Times. Last year, more than 270,000 votes were cast for 120 destinations and companies to find the very best in the business. Among the other finalists is Callow Hall in Derbyshire, The Retreat at Elcot Park in Berkshire and Birch in Hertfordshire. How to vote Voters are invited to have their say on the best hotels in the country - and the awards provide a range of prizes for voting such as a week in the Maldives, a short break at Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, A Belmond Hotel, or three nights at an upmarket beach resort in Andalusia. Grantley Hall have said they "greatly appreciate any support" they receive, with the deadline for votes on Thursday 3rd August 2023. Votes can be made here.
