The Ingilby family have decided to sell the Ripley Castle Estate.
The estate has been in the Ingilby family for over 700 years as a "much-loved family home."
But the current owners, Sir Thomas and Lady Ingilby, with the full support of their family, have decided to sell.
A statement on behalf of the owners read:
"The family will continue to live nearby and focus on other interests.
"Most of the Estates enterprises will continue to trade as normal and our valued clients employees and tenants will be advised at the earliest opportunity of any changes to this plan."
It has been listed with estate agents Carter Jonas.
