Living Room Cafe in Starbeck is set to host the 'Big Swap Shop' this evening, offering unloved clothes, toys and furniture to be swapped.
Huge swap shop event to be held in Starbeck tonight A huge swap shop event is set to be held in Starbeck this evening (Friday). The Living Room Cafe on High Street will be hosting 'The Big Swap Shop' from 6pm until 8:30pm. Visitors will be given the chance to swap unloved items including clothes, bric o brac, books, furniture and toys. Those who have donated are given a token that allows them to take another item for free. Others are able to purchase anything that takes their fancy for 50p per item. [caption id="attachment_103321" align="aligncenter" width="1024"] The Big Swap Shop is being held in Starbeck this evening.[/caption] Organiser Sarah Khanye, who is the manager at The Living Room, has been giving updates on the event via Facebook. She said:
“I love giving you guys the chance to get a whole new wardrobe for free, or for a small price. “Bring your pennies because there’s going to be lots of stuff and we want you to be able to take everything you’d like to take home. “Thank you to everyone who has brought stuff in and been down to help prepare, I really appreciate it!"Money raised will be donated to The Living Room Cafe's Ukraine fund.
