Hampsthwaite are celebrating the life of Richard III with talks, refreshments and more this month.
On Saturday 18th May from 1pm-4.30pm, a special one-off event is coming to the village of Hampsthwaite near Harrogate.
'An Afternoon with Richard III' is an opportunity to learn more about the former King of England.
This one day event features Graham Mitchell, a prolific speaker on the topic of Richard III and various stories surrounding his life.
Graham Mitchell is a member of the Yorkshire Branch of the Richard III Society.
Graham will be presenting two talks during the afternoon on the life of Richard III and also the story of the Princes in the Tower.
Refreshments are available and there will also be an exhibition on life in Hampsthwaite during the reign of Richard III.
Susanna Lewis of Hampsthwaite History Group said,
“This is a wonderful opportunity for the local community and historians to learn more about this much misunderstood King and we are very excited to have Graham Mitchell from the Yorkshire Ricardians presenting at our event.”
