Harrogate Town partners with Rossett Sports Centre to develop young talent Rossett Sports Centre has become an official partner of Harrogate Town's Player Development Centre. The partnership will allow the club to further enhance the development of young football talents in the local community. Regular PDC sessions will now be held at the school, whose pupils will have the opportunity to be coached by PDC coaches including First Team Captain Josh Falkingham, former Bradford City defender and now the club’s Professional Development Phase Coach Rory McArdle and Academy Manager Josh Law. This new partnership will offer aspiring young individuals the opportunity to receive top-tier coaching and training within their own existing community. Centre Manager Josh Lyon said:
"It's fantastic to further develop our relationship with Harrogate Town, having brought the Academy to site in the 2022/23 season. “The Harrogate Town Player Development Centre is such a key offering to the grassroots footballing community in the district and it's great that our state-of-the-art facility will play host to the boys and girls PDC here for many years to come."[caption id="attachment_80514" align="aligncenter" width="886"] Football coaching at Rossett School.[/caption] Rossett Headteacher Tim Milburn added:

“We are really excited to be partnering with Rossett Sports Centre and Rossett School moving forward. As institutions both parties are known for their dedication to educational and sporting excellence as well as their fantastic community engagement. “This partnership will help us provide a platform for young people to develop their skills, build confidence and enjoy playing football with a team of highly qualified and experienced coaches, including professional athletes."Sarah added:
“Our aim is to create a clear pathway for local talent to progress with us, starting with the Player Development Centre, with potential to move up into the Advanced Player Development Centre, the Academy and First team. “This collaboration enables us to significantly grow the number of young people we coach at grass roots level, in particular, the girls PDC sessions and advanced level PDC for boys with more sessions now available. We have also introduced a new session for younger children aged 5 to 8 who can enjoy learning to play whilst having fun.”Key features of the Harrogate Town PDC at Rossett Sports Centre include: High-Quality Coaching: The PDC will be staffed by Harrogate Town's expert coaching team, ensuring that participants receive the highest standard of football coaching and player development.
