A Harrogate teenager has helped her team achieve international success at one of the world's biggest cheerleading competitions in the United States.
Daisy, who is in Year 11 at Harrogate Grammar School, competed at the ICU World Cheerleading Championships in Orlando, Florida at the end of April.
The event is regarded as one of the most prestigious competitions in international cheerleading.
Daisy’s team secured third place in the Nations Cup, finished as the highest-placed UK team and achieved seventh place in the world.
A spokesperson for Harrogate Grammar School said:
“This incredible achievement reflects Daisy’s commitment and perseverance over many years, balancing a demanding training schedule alongside her schoolwork.
“We are extremely proud of her dedication, resilience, and success!”
The International Cheer Union (ICU) is recognised as the world governing body for cheerleading, with teams from countries across the globe competing at its annual championships.
