A dedicated Harrogate SENCO teacher has received a special afternoon tea treat thanks to Mama Doreen's Emporium.
We’ve teamed up with Mama Doreen’s to celebrate Afternoon Tea Week by delivering afternoon tea to deserving people across the Harrogate district.
We asked for your nominations via our website, with a new winner receiving a special treat each weekday throughout the week.
And our second winner is Kim Stanfield of Playaway Day Nursery in Harrogate.
A parent nominated Kim for the work she has done in supporting her son.
The nomination read:
“Kim has helped me and my little boy in his SEND journey from the start - and she’s still helping now.
“From the big things to the little things, she's always there for us in person and on the phone no matter what time.
“As a SEND mum she has been my rock!”
As a special ‘thank you’ for her efforts, Your Harrogate’s Pete Egerton delivered takeaway afternoon tea from Mama Doreen's, chocked full of sweet treats.
A shocked Kim said:
“Thank you very much [for the nomination] to whoever it may be!
“As long as the kids enjoy their day, we enjoy our day.”
