Harrogate school to host pre-loved uniform sale Ashville College will be hosting a pre-loved uniform sale next week ahead of the new school term. The Harrogate school is giving parents the opportunity to purchase good quality, second-hand branded uniform items at a “fraction of the cost” of new. The school run an ‘old uniform shop’ in the Sports Centre every half term. And the next sale will be held next Tuesday (22nd August) from 2pm until 4pm. The event is operated by New Friends of Ashville (NFoA) - Ashville College’s voluntary parent body. A NFoA spokesperson said:
“Based on your feedback, we will be developing our pre-loved uniform service, including additional drop-off points and offering more regular sales. “We are happy to receive donations and consignment drop-offs off at any point in the year. This will help us to keep the store well-stocked and running for everyone.”Parents can drop off donations at any point during the school year at the Reception in Senior School, Prep School, or at the Sports Centre Reception. Ashville College also offer to sell items on the donators behalf for a 50% share of the sale price. A spokesperson added:
“The success of the service depends on a steady stream of donations, especially high-value items such as blazers and the latest sports kit.”The school are accepting donations of new style clean, pre-loved uniform in good saleable condition. Unfortunately, it cannot currently take shoes, or other items of non-branded uniform that are not on the school’s uniform list due to storage constraints.
