Harrogate Pythons Rugby Club has announced the launch of a new Minis section, aimed at introducing primary school-aged children to rugby in a 'fun, safe and inclusive environment.'
The initiative will provide structured sessions focused on enjoyment, teamwork and confidence-building, while creating a clear pathway into junior rugby and beyond.
The club hopes the new section will strengthen grassroots participation and inspire more young people to get involved in the sport.
The club will initially launch with an Under-8s side starting formally in September, with sessions led by qualified coaches.

In preparation, fun sessions are held every Monday at 6pm at the ground on Station View.
Julian Tatlow, Chairman of Harrogate Pythons, said:
"We are incredibly proud to be launching our Minis section. Grassroots rugby is vital to clubs like ours, and this is about giving young people the chance to get involved and be part of something special.
“We are also delighted that Ryan Bradshaw is leading this for us, bringing over 20 years of experience in education and a deep understanding of the club’s ethos."
Ryan Bradshaw, Minis Chairman, added:
"Our focus is on creating a fun and welcoming environment where children can enjoy rugby without pressure, develop their skills and build confidence."
The club will also be running a rugby summer camp on 24th, 25th and 26th August, offering young players an opportunity to develop their skills and enjoy the game in a fun and engaging setting.
