A Harrogate Hospital nurse of 43 years has been given a special Christmas treat as the winner of our latest competition.
We teamed up with The Harrogate Inn to grant a ‘Christmas wish’ for a deserving winner this festive season.
And after hundreds of entries, we’ve selected a winner.
Stephanie Thirwell nominated her mum, Catherine, for a luxurious overnight stay as a ‘thank you’ for her service to the community.
She returned to work for the NHS during the pandemic and remains there today.
And thanks to The Inn Collection Group, Catherine will be granted the VIP treatment and an overnight stay at one of the group’s venues of her choice.
Speaking about her mum, Stephanie said:
“She was meant to retire a few years ago but returned to help out throughout the pandemic, and she’s still going now! “It’s tricky to pull her away from the NHS, she’s done a long stint. “We wanted everyone to be safe but she said no, this is the time that the NHS need me and the time I’ve trained for.”After finding out she had won and her Christmas wish had been granted, Stephanie said:
“Oh my goodness! I’d forgotten that I’d entered!
